When are you open?

The Winters Of The World opens on the 2nd Of December through till the 20th of December.

 

What time do I arrive?

Please refer to your contract where you will see all the details in regards to your event and arrival time.

 

How do the time slots work?

Please take note of the time you will be playing Eisstock or Jingle bowls on your contract.

 

What if I am running late?

The rinks are often fully booked, we will do our best to accommodate you if you are running late but there is no guarantee you will be able to play.

 

Can I make changes to my booking?

Due to the nature of our events, once you are booked in and have signed the contract, unfortunately, we are not able to make any changes to your event. Please refer to our terms and conditions.

 

What are your payment terms?

We require full payment 7 days after signing your contract with us. 

 

Once confirmed, can I increase or decrease my numbers?

You are able to increase your numbers subject to availability. Unfortunately, you are not able to decrease the numbers as the rinks have been reserved for you and your guests. There will be no refund for guests who are unable to attend, however, you will still receive their food and drinks tokens. 

 

Is there parking on-site?

There is no parking onsite, you can find parking in nearby locations. We recommend that you look this up prior to the day of your event.

How many people can play?

Up to 10 people can play on each of our rinks, we can accommodate a maximum of 120 people on the rinks at any one time.

How long is a game?

Your game will last 1 hour, this is enough time to allow everyone to embrace the game to the fullest.

 

Can I reserve a table or an area?

Your reservation will include a reserved area, this is a mixture of standing and seating. Please note there is a time allocated to this, and we may require your area back after the duration of your event.

 

What happens if it rains?

The venue is a purpose built fully heated clear marquee. So rain or shine you will all be dry.

 

Can I come just for food and drink – do you allow walk-ins?

Yes, we do allow walk-ins but we do prioritise those who have a reservation with us as we are often fully booked. We cannot guarantee that there will be space to play Eisstock or Jingle Bowls therefore we suggest you make a booking via our website. If we are at capacity, you will not be able to enter the event.

 

Do you offer a cloakroom?

Yes we have a cloakroom where you can drop off your coats and bags. 

 

Is there a dress code?

There is no dress code to enter The Winters Of The World but we do suggest smart-casual or your finest festive outfit. 

 

Can I open a bar tab?

We do offer bar tabs, for ease we would recommend you purchasing drink tokens in advance of your event. 

 

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

Our venue has plenty of food options and drink choices to pick from, we ask that you refrain from bringing your own food and drink on the day.

 

Can we eat and play at the same time?

Absolutely, however, we recommend you eat before or after your game so you can enjoy the full time allocated for Eisstock or Jingle Bowls.

 

Do you cater for dietary or allergen requirements?

We cater for all dietary requirements; however, we ask that you contact us with at least two weeks’ notice for any requests.

 

What are your opening times?

We open at 12pm and we close at 11pm. The last order is at 10:30pm.

 

Can I decorate my area?

We ask that guests do not decorate their reserved areas, balloons are welcome.

 

Can I bring my own entertainment / DJ?

Our events include live entertainment and a DJ, we do not allow external entertainers or DJs at our events.

 

Can I bring my dog?

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the venue set up, we do not allow your 4-legged friends, unless they are guide dogs.

 

Can I pay by cash?

No, we are a fully cashless venue. 

 

Do you check for ID on arrival?

If you’re lucky enough to look under 25, you may be asked to show ID on arrival. We accept passports, driving licenses, proof of age cards such as the PASS card from the national proof of age standards scheme.

 

Do you allow under 18s in the venue?

We are strictly an over 18 venue. 

 

Do you offer NHS discount or student discount?

We do not offer NHS or student discounts.

 

Accessibility – are you wheelchair friendly?

Yes, we are! However, please ensure you inform us before your arrival so we are aware.

 

Do you have toilets on site?

Yes, there are toilets on site.
